The 81238 Cylindrical Roller Thrust Bearing is designed specifically to accommodate heavy axial loads and peak shock loads in one direction; it is not designed to support any radial loads. The bearing utilizes flat cylindrical rollers, providing a much larger contact area with the raceways compared to ball thrust bearings. Important Installation Note: Because these bearings do not limit the radial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing, it is critical to ensure that the inner ring (shaft washer) axis and the outer ring (housing washer) axis are perfectly aligned during mounting.
